Like footprints in the snow
We are too old to be young
Watching time, revealed by the thaw
The whispers of our past
Are like a walk into the woods
After the rain
Will I walk beneath the pines
Watching time
Is it time to bring the herring in
Liquid silver under
Liguid silver all my life
Liquid silver underneath moonlight
The past eight years I've wondered
How my days are numbered here
In the vast and lonely distance never near
At the end of the day
And the end of the year
We have worked
In search of perfection
A journey near it's end
In someone else's dream
Helpless laughter, here on after I'll be back again
Watching time
Is it time to bring the herring in
Liquid silver under
Liguid silver all my life
Liquid silver underneath moonlight
The past eight years I've wondered
How my days are numbered here
In the vast and lonely distance never near

I absolutely had to get this album for the full Lo Soul experience. Prior to getting the album, I knew 4 of the songs, three of which are probably in my top 6 Roddy songs (favs here Return to Disappear, Lo! Soul and Dead of the moon is probably my #1 favourite). I like the images with the album. I had to play catch up with Idlewild and Roddy music and I regret not keeping an eye out in the decade in between :). Beautiful voice, great lyrics supported by talented musicians like Andrew kit2284
Listening to this album's rich, beautiful melodies and spirited performances feels like seeing a fantastical other-world emerge from the Earth itself. The emotions running through "A Mermaid at Fearn" are so complex and genuine it could convince anyone that mermaids are really out there. Gyakuten
